You Are A Point of Light
Emotional pain is hard and can feel very dark. In that darkness, you can feel isolated, alone, and very lonely. I've been there, and I empathize with you more than you can know. It's because I've been where you are, that down to the very marrow of my bones, I understand you need someone to appreciate your light, color, and beauty.
This blog is here to let you know you're not alone. It is here to help you understand just how much I empathize with you by telling you my story, in which I have experienced very deep emotional pain while also thinking I lived in that pitch blackness. I'll show you my journey through that darkness, where I found I always write about light and color to find so much beauty in my life. Then I'm going to show you how being fiercely honest about some intrinsic ugliness in my life finally helped me leave my pain and darkness behind.
Using the art of writing, and discovering my artistic gift through my writing, my journey has lead me to understand I am now a colorful and beautiful Point Of Light. I believe all of us can find ourselves to be wonderful and beautiful Points of Light! Let's begin this amazing journey together!
01.
Reading
As you read the blog posts I write, my hope is their light, color, and beauty are visible to you. Know in everything I write; I search my heart with honesty so I can sincerely write what's real and transparently authentic. I also hope you'll notice the picture I'm trying to paint using colorful words. I hope they bring you some beauty and help you smile.
02.
Writing
I want to encourage you to write for yourself. To help you achieve this awesome goal, I've created an interactive group page specifically set up so you can practice writing out your own word paintings - sharing as much or as little as you like! Check it out here. This is what I put in one of the posts for you: "Points Of Light, write all the time. Search your heart with sincerity and be honest with your words and write those words wherever they fall. Save what you write because like me, maybe there'll be times you'll need the catalog of your writings to look back on to put the light back into a dark day."

Learn to be Fiercely Honest — Make a Fearless Inventory of the Real You. I know there are so many people unaware they're a Point Of Light, who suffer severe emotional pain and feel they're living in utter darkness, just like I once did. Maybe you're one of those people. I've found, and I genuinely believe healing can only come through what I call being fiercely honest. In this blog, without shame, I show you my process of becoming transparently and fiercely honest though journaling a fearless inventory of the real me. I show you how that both helped lead to my healing and played a part in being the genesis for this blog.
We all need a little help sometimes
When extreme emotional pain is all we feel and when the darkness overwhelms us, life can seem to be unbearable. You need to know there's a very tender place inside me that deeply understands your pain. More than you could ever know, I empathize with you. You see, for me, there was also that time when I felt surrounded by pitch blackness. My hurt ran deep and the pain felt unbearable. I found all I wanted to do was to just get it over and have it come to an end. Just like you, I considered suicide.
About This Sites Author
I've said for a very long time that life isn't simple and it can't be simply understood—let alone explained in any simple way. I've likened my own life to be like an onion; I find that when I pull back a layer of my life, all I've accomplished is to reveal yet another layer. My brother once said of me that I'm the living embodiment of a Winston Churchill quote, "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma."
