My Method
You'll always find me referring to you as a Point Of Light because despite what you might feel: you're not alone; I love you; I'm proud of you; I see your light. As you read my posts, understand they journal my attempts to find beauty in a life lived. They show the way that even through difficult times, by allowing light to pierce my darkness, I was able to see color and find beauty. When I write I always use my color palette of words to paint vivid and beautiful pictures. Most importantly, this blog is also about how I believe you can do the same. How? By searching your heart to find even the tiniest fragments of light and use whatever color they give you to write the beautiful story you have waiting inside. Here's an excellent method you can use to help you accomplish this:
What's in a word, words like light, color, beauty, happiness, and love? At first blush, there's not much to those words, right? But look more closely at each one of these words - look closely and tell me what you see. Look at the word light. Look at the word color. Look at the word beauty. Look at the word happiness. Finally, look at the word love. Your eye might see a word and dismiss it with the seeing, but using a lingering gaze, do you feel any of these words changing your emotional affect?

Can a word make you smile? Can a word cause welcome warmth to fill your body? Can a word compel you to emote a good feeling? Seriously, look at those word suggestions while also giving the questions serious thought. Think plainly and clearly. Allow your heart to feel each of the individual words—light, color, beauty, happiness, and love. Now allow your heart to give these words consent to coalesce together in unity. Allow this newfound accord to soar as they fly high in your heart's sky. As you enjoy their flight with them, look down as they began to allow you to see the bright green trees growing on the mountains below. Feel with them the wind rushing against your face while you find enjoyment looking at the clear azure skies. Now enjoy a smile of complete happiness by experiencing the warmth of a radiant sun gently caressing your outstretched wings.
For as long as you like, take these thoughts as high and as far as you want while you look with them at all the colorful, beautiful sights! When you finally settle down back to earth, once again ask yourself, "What's in a word?" Pretty good question, right? Answer the question by writing out its answer and let your words flow. As you write, never forget: you're not alone; I love you; I'm proud of you; I see your light.
