Points of light, never forget this truth that's found on the very first page of this blog - "As I always say, you're not alone; I love you; I'm proud of you, and I see your Light." That last part, "I see your light," well, I hope you notice how I repeat it a billion times everywhere on this blog as I repeatedly make it a deliberate point to call you a "Point of Light!" I need you to know even in what may seem to be endless darkness an oasis can appear. In this metaphor, our much-needed oasis is one of pure light. I know you'll eventually trek out of any bad place you presently find yourself in, love will see to it, and when you do, you'll find yourself looking back at these oases and just like me, you'll find a heart smile will always happen.
After Fuga had bequeathed her gift of peace and calm into Ch'amak's life, he ceased from looking so hard to find any bad in beautiful things. He stopped examining his past to find and recite to himself all the things his internal lies were telling him were horribly bad and ugly. No, instead of that, Ch'amak calmly and humbly accepted himself to be the most beautifulest and most wonderfulest Macaw ever. Well, to everyone who encountered him on the outside of his feathers, he appeared to be calm and humble, but the truth was that on his inside, his heart always smiled as it never forgot to celebrate this newfound truth he so tightly clung to. Always overwhelmed with this new love he could now experience, his heart never ceased to dance fiercely, without abandon; and if anyone ever had the ability to notice his heart dancing this way, they'd laugh for the sheer hilarity found in such a spectacle!
Ch'amak now looked at his history to recall all the wonderful and exciting times from his amazing past. Every time he'd recall those times, he always remembered his friend Mr. Sun, and how he would always brightly shine his light on Ch'amak's astounding life, allowing him extraordinary memories to enjoy all the extraordinary friends that always surrounded him. This precious gift from his friend, Mr. Sun, constantly afforded him a glorious chance to celebrate all the light, color, and beauty he received for all those recalled times. He had made a forever search for beauty and he was well aware without color - monochrome beauty is hard to appreciate. That's one of the many reasons why Ch'amak adored his friend Mr. Sun who never ceased his selfless gift of giving his life so much light that the colors he received had to find boundless beauty in them. It finally laid easily on Ch'amaks mind that the prophecies about him brought so much good into his life.
On one particularly bright and sunny afternoon, his heart smiled hugely as he spoke to the amazing Ms. Ts’ats’aak, the most beautiful Plum Throated Cotinga in the area, and doctor to all who called on her. Tears fell from Ch'amaks eyes as he asked her, "Do you remember the party?" "As a matter of fact, I was just thinking about it only yesterday", she replied. "Ms. Ts'ats'akk, when I look back at my past, I vaguely recall there were some very dark places in my life back then. But would you like to hear something beautiful?" "Of course," she said. A moment of silence fell between them. "I'm waiting Ch'amak, my love. Please tell me about something beautiful." "Well amongst all that darkness in my past where beautiful, well-lit oases so full of color that their stories painted themselves lovingly on my heart. They remain to ceaselessly remind me of all the good I ever give away to anyone, that good will always return 1000x's the same good back to me. One of those oases of light will forever be known to me by your wonderful name Ms. Ts'ats'aak!" "My name?" she said. "Yes, "The Birthday Surprise and the Heart of Ms. Ts'ats'akk - An Oasis of Light, Color, and Beauty (or Love)!"" "Ch'amak" she blushed. "It'll be forever known by that name I tell you!" Then he sighed, "Even while I often think it deserves a much better name."
I return to that oasis from time to time. I remember how you made sure everyone was there; Fuga, Adeline, Marvin, Battenburg, Artagnan, Bobrov, Frank, K'ak', and Kan, and they all shouted for joy as they greeted my arrival. All that light, color, and beauty for them being there at my surprise birthday party found a place in my heart to make an awesome picture I still look at today. But your heart went deep because they all bore gifts to me of either orchid, Brazil nuts, bananas, passion flowers, figs, Heliconia flowers, Açai berries, Cashews, and Vanilla beans. Of their own free will, each of my friends presented to me their gifts with an honest heart smile that whispered to my heart their unique and authentic love for me. Ms. Ts'ats'aak, it's almost too hard to
believe that oasis could have received any more light; but it did. I really need to tell you with all this additional light, that more color and beauty began to paint more pictures on my heart that I'm still enjoying to this moment!" "I don't know what to say Ch'amak" was her soft reply. Ch'amak sighed tenderly, "I'm not finished. In the midst of this was found the reason for the question you'd asked me days before. The one where you asked me what my favorite food was. I told you Moriche Palm fruits and Cacao beans. On that very bright day, you provided those excitingly delicious foods for me. For me! Ms. Ts'ats'akk, it was your heart that shown so much lovely light on that oasis that still overwhelms me to this very second! While I'm sure all the colors and beauty that light used in painting its picture on my heart is beautiful, I have to be honest and tell you that I can't look at this picture and not have its intensity blind me!" At saying this, Ch'amak literally laughed out loud and the happiness Ms. Ts'ats'akk found in his laughter permeated her heart to make her smile and then to laugh along with him as they both cried tears of joy together.
Ch'amaks laughter faded away while his tears remained. But what had been tears of joy turned into tears of love that he choked back only so he could talk to her. With all the respect he could command, he calmly said to her, "I love you Ms. Ts'ats'akk". At this, she was at a loss for any kind of utterance. "Do you want to know a truth?" "Yes," she said in a quiet whisper. "Someone like you helped me see and accept how I'm the most beautifulest and most wonderfulest Macaw ever. Okay, good. But standing in front of you, I have to believe I couldn't be that at all apart from these oases I have in my past. I try to live my life in being real, honest, and transparent - I know you know this. So, I need you to know when people look at me and they see all my light, all my many colors, and all my beauty that make their heart smile, well, you're absolutely a part of that." Ms. Ts'ats'akk smiled and then started to cry. Ch'amak reached for her because he wanted to hug her, and she graciously accepted his offer. Right there at that point in both time and space, two hearts were smiling, and the place glowed generously with warm light, color, and so much beauty!
As always, Love and Peace Everyone
